HYPOPITUITARISM
What is Hypopituitarism?
is a very rare disorder, in which the pituitary fails to produce one or more hormones. Or just does not produce enough hormones.
these missing hormones can affect the functioning of other development parts such growing, blood pressure and reproduction.
THERAPEUTC AND PHAMACOLOGICAL MANAGEMENT
Levothyroxine due to thyroid-stimulating hormone, this medicine treats hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone level).
Fertility hormones they include gonadotropins are administered via injection to stimulate ovulation in women and sperm production in men.
Growth hormone which is also called somatropin (genotropin, humatrope, others) injected subcutinously. They promote growth, which helps with normal height in children.

PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Pituitary gland consists of two parts, the anterior and posterior pituitary. Anterior pituitary receives stimulatory or inhibitory hormone signals from the hypothalamus. In turn it produces hormones to be secreted into the system circulation. Posterior pituitary does not produce hormones but stores and secretes them through the portal vessels.
Then inability to produce this hormone leads to less presence of adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH), thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH), luteinizing hormone(LH), follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), growth hormone(GH) and prolactin from the anterior pituitary. As well oxcitocin(OXT) and antidiuretic(ADH) known as vasopressin from the posterior pituitary.
