EXPONANTIAL NUMBERS
What is exponential numbers, How can we read them?
When a number multiplied by itself a specific number of times, it is said to be raised to a power
a^b=c, a is the base, b is the exponent of power that indicates the number of times the base be multiplied by itself and c is the product.
-
In the expression 2^3, is the base is 2 and the exponent is 3, this means 2.2.2=8
Exponent Laws
-
-
Power of a power
-
To raise the power of a power, multiply the exponents.
-
-
Order of operations
You always should do the exponential numbers first, unless there are brackets.
Brackets, exponentials, dividing, multiplying , adding, subtracting
-
The 0 rule
Positive powers of 0 is 1. Except 0^0, it is undefined.
-
When you have power raised to a division, you write the numbers in the quotient with power.
-
When we raised to the power of a product, we write again each product to power.
