pathophysiology
causes of abnormal endocardium inc valcular pathology, congenital heart disease
abnormal endocardium results in turblent blood flow which leads to thrombus formation
involves abnormal endocardium and a bacterial source
bacteria infects the thrombus colonising it
bacterial vegetations leads to valvular damage
