Concept #3 - Penguin Adventure
It's Polly the Penguin's first adventure on her own into the ocean.
She dives head first into the cold water with all the other penguins. But the others swim faster leaving Polly behind.
Polly is swimming hard to catch up but her little flippers are no match for the strong currents. The strong current pulls her further away. Sweeping her into it's far depths.
Polly tries to fight the current and get out but her flippers are too small. Polly lets the current take her. The current finally eases, letting Polly surface. Polly notices the warmth of the water and looks around - there's no ice here!
Polly swims low and asks the stingrays circling below where she is. They say Sydney. Polly asks them to point her in the direction of the current so she can get home.
Polly takes the current to the Great Barrier Reef - admiring all the colourful fish, but knowing she's still not home. She asks the clownfish how to get home. He guides her to the edge of the reef showing her the current.
Polly surfaces in even warmer water and knows she's not home. Swimming through the murky water she asks the friendly crocodiles if they can help her get home. They walk her to the water's edge and point out the current.
Polly feels the cold and gets excited - she must be home! But as she swims closer to the shore line she knows she's not. She swims with the tiger sharks asking for the best directions and catches the current again.
Polly is beginning to worry she'll never get home. The tiger shark says don't worry they're not far now. Polly catches the current again.
The water gets colder but Polly knows she's still not home - there's too many rocks! But as she swims back out into the ocean she spots her friend Wally the Whale, slowly swimming about with his Mum.
Wally tells Polly not to worry and swims with her all the way home!
Polly finds herself at the feeding grounds and swims over to tell her Mum all about her Australian adventure.
Concept #4 - Egg Hatching
Mama and Daddy Penguin are patiently waiting the arrival of their new baby.
All around them their friends and cousins eggs are hatching.
But still their egg remains stubbornly still.
Mama and Daddy try everything:
pecking at the egg
rolling the egg down the ice
playing soccer with the egg
playing catch with the egg
juggling the egg with small rocks
burying the egg in the ice
But nothing worked...
They felt so sad that their
baby hadn't hatched.
They huddled together with the egg
between them and hummed a lullaby
before drifting off to sleep.
Suddenly the egg began to shake and cracks began to emerge.
Their baby finally emerged from the shell tapping it's tiny feet and squawking their lullaby.
And they were finally a family.
Concept #1 - Egg on the loose
The egg slowly tumbles down the icy slope towards the ocean before his very eyes!
The egg keeps rolling down the slope with the Father penguin waddling after it as fast as he can.
Suddenly his egg slips from his feet.
The egg finally comes to a stop right at the edge of the ice.
Father penguin moves down the huddle rotation.
Father penguin chases the egg to the edge of the ice. And finds it thankfully unharmed.
His egg is nestled comfortably on his feet.
Father penguin places the egg back on his feet and joins the other penguins back in the huddle.
Father penguin is huddling with the other male penguins to keep warm.
Concept #2 - Penguin Adventure
It's Polly the Penguin's first adventure on her own into the ocean.
Polly is very excited to dive head first into the ocean and see all it's wonders.
Polly joins the other penguins at the waters edge and dives straight in.
She swims past the shallows where she learnt to swim.
She swims past the small fish hiding in the reefs.
She swims by her friend Willy the Whale as he surfaces near her.
She plays with the squid and dodges their ink sprays.
Finally she swims along until she finds her friends in the feeding ground and catches her dinner.
