Blood cells & lymphatic system
Lympha
The Lymphatic System
成份
Lymphatic Fluid(又稱
淋巴
)
特徵
透明略帶黃色的液體
流動比較緩慢,流量是靜脈的十分一
始於全身各組織,末於匯入靜脈
功能
Transports white blood cells, fats, cellular debris, and infectious agents
獨立運作
維持體內的組織液平衡
回收
組織細胞運作中產生的
廢棄物
促進Lymphatic Fluid回流
動脈搏動
骨骼肌收縮
與靜脈防止回流一樣
胸腔負壓
成份
similar to blood plasma(血漿)
Dissolved salts
2 ~ 5% proteins
Water
Lympha
發現位置
Formed when blood components move out of blood vessels into extracellular spaces
與消化、吸收、皮膚、泌尿和生殖管道 有密切關係
有時受傷,但未傷及血管的話,從傷口滲透至血管外的透明液體。
Components of Lymphatic System 10941022A
Link Title
Primary /central lymphoid organ
Thymus
Link Title
Function
The thymus functions chiefly to develop T lymphocytes. Once mature, these cells leave the thymus
The thymus functions are transported via blood vessels to the lymph nodes and spleen.
Bone Marrow
Link Title
There are actually two types of bone marrow – yellow and red.
Yellow bone marrow produces stem cells which turn into our body’s cartilage, bone and fat cells.
the red bone marrow which produce blood (haematopoietic) STEM CELLS, billions of them
Secondary/peripheral lymphoid organ
Lymph nodes
Link Title
Lymph nodes are located in many places in the lymphatic system throughout the body.
Spleen
Link Title
the mass of splenic tissue is of two types, the red pulp and the white pulp, which do not separate into regions but intermingle and are distributed throughout the spleen.
The red pulp is a network of splenic cords (cords of Billroth) and sinusoids (wide vessels) filled with blood, and it is in the red pulp that most of the filtration occurs
The white pulp is lymphoid tissue that usually surrounds splenic blood vessels.
mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue
Link Title
The mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue initiates immune responses to specific antigens encountered along all mucosal surfaces.
