Glyphosate contamination of soils
Glyphosate is a chemical found in many herbicides used for spraying control of weeds. It mainly found in roundup and has now been researched to show 'unpreventable' contamination of soils. The map shows the severity of contamination across the globe and Australia.

Urban Growth
PDF for melbourne growth maps
Urban growth taking over productive land.
Melbourne Urban fringe areas rezoned to smaller lots for more dense housing developments. Reduces the transition to farmland therefore has implications between farming methods and controls vs the wants and needs of the "city people"
With urban growth there is a need for power. Currently there is alot happening in the west with the new transmission towers connecting sustainable energy from the far west into Melbourne suburbs. There is alot of corruption as having this infrastruction on or near farmland reduced production to 0! Near Ballarat is the largest potato growing region and with these transmission towers McCains will need to start importing potatoes due to non workable land. This is due to radiation.
People in urban fringe areas don't quite understand how agriculture is helpful within their everyday lives. Food comes from shops water comes from the tap. Don't try to convince them it falls from the sky or grows out of the ground.

Tussock- Native
Map Poa morrisii Vickery – Soft Tussock-Grass
Similar to serrated Tussock in nature and look. Only difference is the invasive weed serrated tussock has serrated leaves whereas the native is soft. They both grow in the same areas which is why many are commonly mistaken as a weed.
