Misc. nursing notes
A 36-year-old woman came into the ED due to being weak and dizzy. The patient has a history of Crohn's disease with intermittent gastritis. She had surgery and an ileostomy 6 months ago. Traces of serosanguineous effluent present in an ostomy. She will need a blood transfusion. Her blood type is A- Her vitals and labs have been put in the chart.
The patient seemed to have had an allergic reaction to the blood transfusion. She had a temp of 101.8, headache, chills and restlessness. The second unit of blood has been stopped
Patient's symptoms have been treated. She has been educated on managing stress and diet and is ready to be discharged.
