All words ending in: - tion / ʃən / : this suffix is always pronounced with the vowel schwa. Careful! Many Spanish speakers pronounce it as Spanish / o /. This may be due to the influence of the writing and / or because they do not know how to pronounce the schwa and substitute it for the Spanish / o /.

All the words that end in: - ous / ə s / : there are 1200 words with this suffix, most of them are adjectives. Many Spanish speakers make the mistake of substituting the schwa for the Spanish vowel / u / when guided by writing, (they pronounce / nervus /), or by the Spanish vowel / a / or / e / when guided by the ear, ( they pronounce / nervas / or / nerves /.
