Their powers vary depending on the role that their appointed.
For example, Minister of Defence, Finance, Communication, Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, etc.
Vice President
The vice president is the ex official of the Rajya Sabha.
He or she takes over the functions of the president in his or her absence.
The vice president discharges his or her functions till a new president is elected
Prime Minister
Elected head of the country
Link between the President, the people and the Parliament
Advices the President in the discharge of his/ her functions and informs him/ her about the decisions taken by the Council of ministers. The advice of the Prime minister is binding on the President.
The Prime minister selects the member of Council of ministers. He/ She distributes portfolios among the ministers and presides over the meetings of the Council of Ministers.
He/ She coordinates the working of the different departments and is the vital link between the President and the Council of ministers. He or she can expand the council of ministers and also demand the resignation of any minister.
