Cell (Functional unit of life)
Structural and functional unit of life
Structure of a plant cell includes:--
Nucleus
Cell wall
Cell membrane
Cytoplasm
Vacuole - Big
Chloroplast
Structure of animal cell:--
Nucleus
Cell membrane
Mitochondria- the power house / site of respiration
Golgi body
Lysosome
plastids
Centrioles
vacuole - Small
The difference between plant and animal cells is that Plant cells have a cell wall while animal cells don't have a cell wall.
Cell Theory
The cell is the smallest unit of structure of all living things
The cell it the unit of function of all living things
All cells arise from pre-existing cells
They are the building blocks of the body
There are 2 types of cells which are prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell prokaryotic cells dont have a well defined nucleus so its nucleus is called nuclei and eukaryotic cell has a well defined nucleus
red blood cells
white blood cells
