Rearmament
Britain and France knew that Germany rearmed, but no one had the capacity to do anything, either because of internal affairs (France) or because the capaity of the country was completely at maximum (Britain)
Created great concern, but as no one did anything, Hitler became encouraged to gamble even more
Britain had sympathy for Germany and wished for revision of Treaty of Versailles, and hence, proprosed that Germany could get a bigger army
Germany got an army capacity from 100.000 men to 200.000 (the same as France), and half the airforce of France
In June 1935, Britain proposed to Germany that the country could triple its fleet size and that both countries had an equal submarine fleet
Stresa Front was made in 1934 as a public statement against Hitler, but it quickly collapsed because of each individual country's ideology and external agreements

Non-Intervention Committee was made, as no western country had the power to come and help
This was broken by Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union, as they either fought for their ideology or in hopes of achieving an alliance
Britain was also invested in Franco's side (The rebels) and gave benefits to them, however, this was also the side Germany and Italy supported...

It begun with the military taking in Spanish Marroco and expanding into mainland Spain. The nationalists were backed by Mussolini and Hitler and were provided with new equipment that was tested to later be used in WW2
Remilitarization of the Rheinland
In 1936 Hitler marched troops into the Rheinland, a heavily industrialized zone in the German border with France. This action violated Versalies
Britain had an outstretched military at the time: couldn't fight against Hitler there. Besides, they also saw it as non-threatening
Rhineland seen as the turning point in hindsight: this was the last chance to stop Hitler

No privacy when choosing
A referendum was held in Austria in 1938. An overwhelming majority voted for German control over the county.
There was no Austrian oposition to the ocupation, however both Britain and France were disturbed by a growing Germany.
France didn't even have a government at the time
