CONCEP:
The Present Simple is a verb tense that is used to describe habitual actions that happen with a certain frequency and does not refer to whether it is happening at the current momen .
Keys to using the present simple:
- when you want to comunicate permanent states or actions
- By manifesting states or actions that are repeated over time
- To talk about habits, routines or events that are repeated in certain periods of time.
- When you give directions, instructions and signals
- Para transmitir citas, hechos o compromisos que pasarán en un tiempo determinado.
It is formed with the infinitive of the verb without "to". In the 3rd person singular (he, she, it) a final -s is added to the verb. .
The structure of the 'simple present' of the verb 'to do' in negative form is: Suj + auxiliary (do / does) + not + verb + ... When "to do" functions as an ordinary verb ("do"), use the auxiliary (don't / doesn't) in front of the verb.
to negate in the present simple, the only thing is to place the auxiliary don't or doesn't - depending on the person - after the subject. Then, the verb goes in the infinitive ... but keep in mind that in many cases, the verb in the present simple is equal to the infinitive (apart from with he, she and it.)
