SEED DISPERSAL
INSIDE ANIMALS: eat it, not digestable so excret it elswhere
-
WIND: carries them, light with parachutes
-
WATER: carries them, light and big

TYPES
SEXUAL: Process in which two gametes, female and male, fuse to form a zygote resulting in offsprings that are genetically different from each other
ASEXUAL: Process resulting on an offspring genetically identical from the parent as it doesn't require gametes
FERTILIZATION: process in which both the male gamete and female game nucleouses fuse and form a new organism
ADVANTAGES OF SEXUAL REPRODUCTION:
- there is a variation because this process needs gametes to happen and the DNA from the male and female fuse
- in the future, there may be mutations that benefit that organism in its habitat
- If the environment get to change they will be more likely to survive because there is diversity
DISADVANTAGES OF SEXUAL REPRODUCTION:
- it takes longer, as the gametes have to be created
- the process uses a lot of energy
- some species may have mutations that are un-beneficial for them
DISADVANTAGES OF ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION:
- there is no variation so all organisms are equall
- if the enviroment changes and it is un-beneficial for that organism, the offsring will have the same problem
ADVANTAGES OF ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION: - there is no mate needed -less energy required -faster - a lot of organisms produced in little time -if their characteristics are beneficial for them in the environment they will live longer because they will survive
SEXUAL REPRODUCTION IN FLOWERS:
- pollen rings go from anthern to stigma (pollination)
- stigma recieves
- goes down the pollen tube
- enters the ovary
- makes contact with the ovule (fertilization)
- produces new organism
- zygote turns into seed and ovary wall into fruit

CO-EVOLUTION: the process by which two or more species evolve in tandem by exerting selective pressure on each other. We can also say that as they both depend on each other if one changes the other one has to change
