        Russia's Revolution made it possible for the Germans to remove their forces from the eastern border and moved them all to the western front.
        
        Russia's role was to be allies with France and to basically keep Germany from taking all their troops to France.
        
        Russia mobalized their troops just to have to send them all back after the revolution which would cause a waste in supplies.

        Two million more American troops came and the war began to switch as they were advancing towards Germany.
