Black Women
Chapter 15 explains the role of capitalism in the destruction of humanity of all people but more specifically the Black populations and has caused an outrageous assault on every Black man, woman, and child in America. Capitalism manipulated its system to prevent Black men from finding meaningful and productive employment while the Black women is able to find work in the household of white families
The limiting of life's functions to simply a sex role is projected by the ideal model projected for women that surrounds them with hypocritical homage and cuts them off from any real work
There is also an important distinction between the domestic sphere of white women versus black women. Black women, having to are for the home and the children like the middle-age class model, additionally find themselves being the breadwinners of the family on top of that. Black women make up a substantial percentage of the Black workforce
Chicana Women
Chicana populations across the United States were in a constant fight for liberation from their oppression in society. Chicana women especially became increasingly involved in the Chicano liberation and the emergence of the feminist movement. Chicanas are part of an oppressed nationality and are subjected to the racism practiced against La Raza
The white male rulers want Chicanas to accept their oppression because they understand that when Chicanas begin a movement demanding legal abortions, child care, and equal pay for equal work, this movement will pose a real threat to their ability to remain in power.
This chapter focuses on the demand that these women had for control over their own bodies. Couple with this campaign to repeal all abortion laws, women were also fighting to end all forced stoeriliations, a campaign in which Chicanas will play a central role. This demand is of key importance because Chicana women have previously been victims of forced sterilization justified by the viciously racist idealization that the problems of La Raza women are caused by Raza women having too many babies
