the wage gap between genders is not real
women make less because of work choices
if a man and a women work different jobs you cant use the 77 cents to a dollar argument. the job being worked factors in
men work harder and riskier jobs which pay more
even though about the same amount of men and women go to college men are more likely to finish college, and there is a correlation between people who finish college and the amount of money
women sign up for easier jobs, a job that doesn't involve that much skill which ends up paying less
women make less because of hours worked
it is important to factor in that women are not getting paid less because of injustice it also has to do with the time put in.
according to U.S census data men work 4.7 hours longer during the week on average.
if a man works the same job as a woman but the man works twice as many hours, the man will get paid twice as much and vice versa
men work harder jobs that require more hours
men get more promotions and raises because of work ethic not sexism
men tend to have a better work ethic in the work place than women.
men typically have skills that females do not have
the boss or manager giving raises and promotions probably does not care if you are a male or female the boss will choose whoever they like the most and that normally is the man over the female because of output in the workplace
men are stronger in general, my brother got a promotion at ups because he was the only one who could move the heavy boxes, he got that promotion because he had an asset that nobody else had, it had nothing to do with sexism his boss just felt like he was best for the job, and if a women had an asset that could help the company then she would be the one with the promotion
it is illegal to pay women less
if a man and a woman have the same job at the same position they will get paid the same, people still think the woman will ge only about 3/4 of what the man does because of sexism but thats not true
it has been illegal since 1963
a man will work more hours than woman on average, but during those extra hours he is getting paid the same amount the woman would be if she was working those hours
no evidence shows women getting paid less for doing the same thing, and if that did happen the owner could serve jail time
women take more time off
women who are going to have a baby have to take care of the baby and normally its the women who does the and not the man.
studies show that fathers are more likely to get hired
sometimes after a woman returns to work after having a child, sometimes they have to take lower paying and less demanding jobs.
