OpenSubdiv works perfect with creases to give objects a edge defined subdived surface. You don't have to change/ add Edgeloops to get Creases. Big Bonus compared to Turbosmooth!
Turbosmooth works by checking the edge density of your model and give more subdivision in area's where are more edges. Altho you have to insert edgeloops into your geometry which you have to deal with when designing. Depending what you model i recommend OpenSubdiv tho.
Generally when you model a reallife object. You want every subobject on that reallife object to be a subobject in your Highpoly Model aswell. When doing export you can select as many Highpoly Models as you like. Just make sure to export select only.
Example Sword: You have a chest made out of wooden planks, iron rings and the lock. Your high poly also has three sub objects for planks, iron and lock. When exporting you select all three and export selected.

when HP has polygroups, mesh has subobjects
when LP has Material ID, mesh has subobjects
-
This will make sure that overlapping or close Objects doesnt get baked together but get a clean seperation bake.

When using Marvelous Designer, rescale Meshes from zbrush to 3dsmax by 0.1
Material ID: When not done, detach seperate Sub Objects (that should have a different material later). Then selecting all Sub Objects and export to Marmoset.
Also make sure that you only assign one Material to your Sub Objects. In Unreal they will all use one Material Slot.
