Homeostatis
Nerves and Hormones
Speed - Nerves are very fast almost instant but compared to Hormones they are quite slow as they have to travel quite far but are longer lasting then Nerves
Travel - Nerves travel though Nerve cells and synapses exampling there high speed, compared to Hormones which need to travel thought blood streams to arrive to there destination which is why they are so slow
Released by - Nerves are not released by anything, but Hormones are released by Glands example pancreas, or testis that release Testosterone
Synapses
Synapse, are gaps between nerves in the reflex arc and there job is to turn electrical impulses into a chemicals state that travels though diffusions, which then travels to the other neuron and changes back into an electrical impulse

The Reflex Arc
Why do we have reflexes?
We have reflexes in order to stop us from harming are self's any longer then we have to a common example of this is pulling your hand out of hot water
The Reflex Cycle
Stimulus (Change in the environment), Receptor(What is effected by the Stimulus) , Sensory Neuron(Turns signals into electronic impulses), Relay Neuron(passes on messages to the brain or spine), Motor Neuron(movement), Effector(organ/muscle that does something) and Response(final result of all of that usually involving some kind of movement)

Glands
-
What is a gland?
Glands are organs that relies hormones which are chemical messengers inside the body that bring upon change
What Is Homeostatis?
Maintaining a constant in an internal environment, examples of this is Sugar levels, Temperate and Water levels
