Where Would They Sleep?
Although it may sounds weird, soldiers didn't get much sleep during the war as it was a mystery to them when and how the Germans would attack next, so they had to keep their guard up for as long as they could maintain it in the four days they stayed in their current position. In the rare chances that the soldiers got to rest up, they would make small wholes in the safer parts of the trench being its walls.
