Where do the tree octopuses exist?
Tree Octopuses exist in the forests of Washington State, on the eastern side of the Olympic Mountains, in the USA. They can be found both in water and on land.
How can we protect the tree octopuses?
We can write to the government that we are worried about the tree octopuses and think that they should be protected and to be put on the Endangered species.
We can also write to the celebrities, ask them to have interviews about the tree octopuses which are facing dangers and are at risk.
We can let the world know that there are tree octopuses in the world, like telling our family and friends.
We can tell consumers not to but products that were made by the companies which don't protect the living environment of tree octopuses.
We can also start an online campaign, encouraging people to sign a petition.
What cause the tree octopus to be at risk?
The trees in Pacific-Northwest forests are regularly being cut down.
The development of local towns has brought house cats into the region that hunt the octopuses.
New roads have cut off their water intake.

They breed in spring.
Female tree octopuses will leave their homes and go to the coast to breed in spring.
Eggs will be laid by the female octopuses underwater.

The newborn tree octopuses float near to the shore in the first month of life and leave the water to begin their adult life.
What are the features of the tree octopuses
Tree Octopuses explores their surroundings by touch and sight.
They can live for around four years
They show emotions by changing their skin colour. They are normally in green-brown colour, which act as a camouflage.
They have a size of 30 to 35 centimeters and live for four years.
Tree Octopuses have the largest brain among all kinds of octopuses.
