Gram negative diplococci-M. catarhallis
SBA:
N. gonorrhea-small, greyish white, translucent, raised, with edge emulsified, smaller than N.menigitidis
N. meningitidis: bluish gray or tan, serogroup A and C may be mucoid , translucent, and convex with smooth glistening surface, may be greenish cast around colonies,
N. lactamica: small grayish white translucent slightly butyrous, resembles N. meningitidis
M.catarhallis: smooth opaque gray white colonies, hockey puck resemblance
