My personal response regarding the book is that apart from the harm caused from the concentration camps, it shows many important emotions, feelings and themes that need to be pointed out. It shows vulnerability, sadness and happiness, surprise, wanting to explore the world and yourself, makes us appreciate the things and freedom that we oh so luckily have. And more importantly, it shows us that books with settings in the WWII can show an extensive amount of things that don't necessarily revolve around nazis. It shows the human damage, the internal damage, the damage on the mind that makes you doubt everything and every single thing you do. So I truly believe this book is like a work of art that needs to be appreciated because it's extremely interesting and captivating. :<3:
