Emergency in anaphylaxis. Bronchospasm, angioedema, urticarial and in serum sickness

Mechanism of action
Is a direct sympathetic drug that act as an antagonist at alpha and beta-adrenergic receptor. Produce vasoconstriction to counteract the vasodilation and resulting hypotension associated with anaphylaxis.
Route of administration
Include intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous
Salmeterol
Mechanism of action
Stimulate intracellular adenylate cyclase, an enzyme that catalyzes conversion of adenosine triphosphate to cyclic adenosine monophosphate.

contraindications
history of hypertensive to salmeterol not to be used as monotherapy for asthma and not for acute bronchospasm
