Selling Resin Products for Annual Charity Dinner Ceremony by 5 IK & 5 IR
Stage One : Analyze
Establish the specifications of the project.
The problem
Each form 5 classes need to come out with a project for their annual charity dinner to collect money not only for the continuity of the program but also to raise fund to donate to orphanages. Therefore, the students from 5 Ibnu Khaldun and 5 Ibnu Rusyh has do a collaboration among them in fulfilling the request by selling handmade resin for Teachers' Day or any other important date occasions requested within the valid dates.
The Objectives // Goals
To sell resin as a gift for teachers during teachers day or any important day occasion
To collect money for the annual charity dinner
To raise fund for orphanages donation
Budget
The budget is will roughly be counted within the item of epoxy resin, some alcohol inks, dried flowers and some silicone moulds.
Delivery method
For the buyers within this school, the delivery can be done anytime as the product is perfectly done.
For the outsider, the delivery will be done either COD or postage on weekend during the outing time.
Location
The location for the work to be done is in Makmal Kemahiran Hidup and it has been approved by Mrs. Neena herself. The students involved will be there during the leisure time at the evening to work on the orders.
Project scope
The products that will be sold only involve resin photo frames, resin phone cases, coasters,card holder, jewellery holder and key chains.
The buyers can request their own design based on the details that has been provided (either with flowers or with colours)
The project will starts roughly from 1 March 2021 till June 2021 but the orders will only be taken once the banner has been officially posted.
This project is under the supervision of Mrs. Neena and Mrs. Awatif.
Stage Two : Design
Designing the project
The Structure
There are 2 types of resin (epoxy or UV resin)
Epoxy resin will need about 24-48 hours to fully cured while UV resin only need 3 minutes to be cure under the UV lights or under the sunlight
Only dried or artificial flowers can be used as the fresh ones will change its colours in resin
Length of training sessions
The training session will be will be conducted over a period of one to two weeks.
Learning objectives for module
The module will be done by the committee members of this project with the supervision of Mrs. Neena and Mrs. Awatif where in the module, there will be included the will state all the instructions for using the resin, safety guidelines that need to be followed as well as all the things that need to be taken into account and things that need to be avoided while handling the project.
** the video of making the resin will also be taken as the guideline for other friends from their classes
Stage Three : Develop
Developing the module
While the training or designing process, the committee members will start to explore and develop some of the product. Therefore, during this phase, they will starts to train other friends to develop and make their own resin product with the help of the behind the scene video recorded.
Stage Four : Implement
Training and delivery
After the first time developing their own resin products, the students will come together and decide again on which products or which design that is easy to make but cute for them to sell to others.
They will do another resin product before being evaluated by the supervisors.
Stage Five : Evaluate
Process and Training Review
The final product of their handmade will be judged by Mrs. Neena and Mrs. Awatif and also among them where they will be start to decide on the selling price and also the improvement that should be made.
