What's its turf like?
Its territory is mostly mountainous, from north to south stand out the Rocky Mountains.
There are also canyons, lakes, waterfalls, forests, craters and rural areas.
The largest lake is the Pend Oreille, to the north, and the longest river is the Snake.
At the time of the pioneers the river was nicknamed "river of no return" because the rapids were impossible to climb

It is also known for potatoes, in fact produces 1/3 of the entire national production

It is said that the name "Idaho" was an invention of George M. Willing, who argued that the term was derived from the language of the native Shoshone and meant "gem of the mountains". Most likely he made it all up, they found out, but eventually the state kept his name
Boise, the capital
Boise is the most populous city in Idaho. Most of the metropolitan area is located on a wide plain, while to the north-east rise the Mountains, which extend from the south-eastern tip to the boundaries of the city of Boise in nearby Eagle.
