History
The behavioural theory focuses on the needs of human beings and their level of satisfaction
The behavioural theory was introduced by Maslow in 1943 in his writing 'A theory of human motivation'

Based on human behaviour

People are motivated to achieve certain needs
These needs are Physiological;safety;love and belonging;esteem and self-actualisation needs
Maslow states that the five hierarchy of needs motivate human behaviour

Different people have different needs.people are motivated by an unsatisfactory need
The theory has not been proved empirically
There is a possibility that needs may change depending on the location of the individual

History
Ludwig Von Bertalanffy is the ma who introduced this thory
David Easton and Chester Barnard contributed to the main points of this theory
Critique
The factors of the system approach was not the actual assumption of the theory
Principles
There needs to be an equilibrium between the organisation and the environment
The organisation has to be familiar with the environment in order to survive
The organisation and the environment depend on each other
Characteristcs
The organisation and the environment should be assessed on how they effect each other
The theory examines how they interact with each other
