Misc. Nursing Notes
A 38-year-old male was brought to the hospital by his family because he is having a hard time breathing. He has a history of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, decreased vision and neuropathy
Provider ordered O2 at 2L/nasal cannula, furosemide 40mg IV and chest x-ray and labs. The patient is on fluid restriction, diet restriction. Patient is in fluid overload due to renal insufficiency
After 2 days the patient is getting worse and weaker. The patient started dialysis. After dialysis too much was fluid was pulled from the patient and he was sleepy, his BP was 89/45, and his glucose was 65. After the patient's condition improved he was prepared for discharge with instructions.
