Urine tests to check the level of protein albumin in urine. A high albumin level indicates kidney disease
Physical Exam that measures height, weight, and blood pressure to look for problems with heart or blood vessels
Imaging tests such as an ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, or a CT scan to assess kidney's structure and size and look for abnormalities
Removing a sample of kidney tissue (biopsy) to examine under a microscope to learn what type of kidney disease you have and how much damage there is
Treatment
Dialysis to remove extra fluids and waste products from blood, restore electrolyte levels, and help control blood pressure
