Twelfth Night Characters
Orsino: Affectionate, mighty
Orsino is in love with Olivia but starts to become very fond of his new page boy, Cesario. Orsino shows just how crazy love is. He is sad because Olivia is mourning for seven years and she won't love him. Once he learns that his page boy is a woman, Viola, they schedule to get married. While Viola had been Orsino's page boy they spent lots of time together so they were already close.

Olivia: Rich, Pretty
Once Olivia's brother dies she makes a vow that she won't see a man or go outside for seven years. When Cesario comes along Olivia breaks free from her vow. She soon realizes that Cesario is a woman and she makes plans to marry Violas brother.

Valentine: Large, silent
Valentine is Duke Orsino's attendant. Orsino sent him to Olivia as a love messenger. He went back to Orsino and said Olivia will only mourn.

Malvolio: Odd, Old
Maria pranks Malvolio by forging a note from Maria telling him to walk around in yellow stockings smiling. He obeys and Olivia gets mad and throws him in prison.

Feste: Wise, funny
Feste is Olivia's jester. He keeps her entertained by singing songs or making witty jokes. Feste was also Olivia's fathers fool.

Maria: Traditional, kind
Maria pranks Malvolio after Malvolio's comments about her and several others. After forging the love note she insults him when he's imprisoned.

Sir Toby Belch: Big, Alcoholic
Sir Toby is Olivia's uncle whom she lets live with her. Sir Toby drinks late, is loud, does pranks and Olivia doesn’t approve of his friends. Eventually him and Maria get close and they control Malvolio.

Sebastian: Tough, persistent
He is the brother of Viola. He survived a shipwreck with the help of Antonio. Once he is in Illyria he ends up marrying Olivia.

Viola: Beautiful, Sad
Violas ship gets wrecked in a storm and she washes up on Illyria's shore. She disguises herself as a man, calls herself Cesario, and becomes page boy to Duke Orsino. She comes to love Orsino and Olivia loves Cesario. Because of Violas gender disguise she can't tell Orsino that she loves him and can't tell Olivia can't love her.

Antonio: Strong, resilient
Antonio saves Sebastian, Violas brother, from the shipwreck and likes him a lot. He nurtured him, accompanied him and gave him money for Illyria.

Sir Andrew Aguecheek: Efficient, smug
Sir Andrew is the head servant in Olivia's home and he also wants to marry her. When Sir Toby lies that Olivia loves him Sir Andrew is quick and happy to believe it. He tries to get closer to Olivia but they never get married and he ends up without love.

Curio: Hard working, handsome
Curio is one of Duke Orsino's attendants.
