Part 1
The Parable
"“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’"
Why?
Because there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”
Sheep
Will never follow a stranger
Follows it's sheperd
Represents lost human beings that need saving
As a sheep we cannot fight sin using our strength, sheep are foolish animal, very easy distracted, deceived by property, position, worldly things, very easy to tortured, do not have the ability to fight back.
Sheperd
Calls his own sheep by
name and leads them out.
Goes ahead of the sheep
The gatekeeper
Represents Jesus
Whoever enters through him will be saved
Lays down his life for the sheep
Protects the sheeps
Have we ever felt rejected by other people?
The more you are rejected, the more you get the attention of Jesus, the more people look down on you, the more Jesus will look at you.
I Peter 2:25
“For you were like sheep going astray, but now you are going astray has returned to the Shepherd and keeper of your souls.
”Isaiah 53: 6
“We have all gone astray like sheep; took his own way, but God has laid on him our iniquity all. ”Sinful man is the lost Lamb.

“God loves every person as if there was no one else to love.”
Part 2
How does the Shepherd take care of the sheep ?
His voice
The voice of the shepherd is known to the sheep.
John 10:4-5
When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice."
Representation
The voice here is the word of God, the less we are listening to the Word has the potential to fall into sin.
The lesser we listen to his Word, the higher the potential to fall into sin.

My secret is a very simple one: I pray, Prayer is simply talking to God He speaks to us; we listen. We speak to him; he listens. A two way process Speaking and listening.
Through his sacrifice
John 10:11
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Jesus gave His life to protect us, he dares to fight the wolves that come to bite the sheep.
The more we feel the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross, the more we will not dare to sin.
Why?
We Are Weak and Helpless
All of us are like the lost sheep, helpless
Psalm 103: 14
For He Himself knows what we are, He remembers that we are dust
For no joy is more beautiful to God than to find us as lost sheep
There is a Rejoice when the lost sheep are found.
Luke 15: 6
And when he arrived home he called his friends and neighbors and said To them, Rejoice with me, for the sheep that were lostI have found it
Sheep
A stubborn animal
Wants to go their own way
Can't be taught tricks
Often goes to dangerous areas and ends up getting trapped
Can't take care of themselves
Don't think about what will happen next
Needs a sheperd
Sheperd
Know the name of every sheep, and count them at least once a day
Carries the sheep on his shoulder
70 pounds (almost 32 kg).
Represents
God
carried us, he put us on his shoulder, when he finds us as a lost sheep.
considers us important not because we are strong, great and smart but because we are weak and helpless.
John 10: 7
Jesus is the door for the sheep
It means that the guardian of us is Jesus. In those days a shepherd was willing to sleep in front of the door, just to guard the sheep.
