- People requested loans which therefor causes an excessive level of debt.
- Companies close which causes an increase in unemployment.
- Inflation due to printing money.
Roaring Twenties
- During the 1920's Germany went through an economic downfall due to the treaty.
- Other nations had great economic prosperity.
- Led to cultural economic change aka the Roaring Twenties.
- Boost in the economy and production. (Inventions, hot commodities)
Treaty of Versailles
January 1919- the 32 nations came together to plan for the rebuilding of Europe. (Dominated by Britain, French, America, Italy)
- To ensure outgoing peace.
- France wanted revenge over Germany and compensation.
- Main powers wanted to punish Germany for causing the first world war.
