Mechanism of action
Antimetabolites that interfere with nucleic acid synthesis
Atripolative effect is achieved through incoperation into DNA
It causes chain termination and inhibition of DNA synthesis
Indications
Treat cancer including breast, anal, colorectal, esophageal and skin cancer.
Contraindications
Breastfeeding or pregnant women
Patients with bone marrow suspensions
Side effects
Nausea
Diarrhoea
Vomiting
Headache
Storage conditions
Must be stored in three to five degrees Celsius within 28 days

Topical
Systemic intravenously
