Brain
Pituitary: Hangs down from base of brain and is attached to hypothalamus by a stalk of nerve fibres. Has two lobes (anterior and posterior) and is the size of a pea. Master gland!! - most important endocrine gland, regulates activities of other endocrine glands and controls vital bodily functions. Linked to Cushing's Disease
Hypothalamus: collects information from brain and links nervous and endocrine systems. Stimulates pituitary with hormones or nerve signals
