How states organize themselves
federal states
Consists on the central power over a policy. A group of states that have control on their own affairs but they control by a bigger state
Example United States, each state have the power on decide laws but they have laws were this can are control by a central and bigger power
Fragile states
Can be Democratic or undemocratic and their power on its territory is too weak
Example Civil war in Somalia, the authorities did not have a strong power to control many parte of the country
Unitary states
has control on over what happens in their territory
Example United Kingdom, Scotland can make its own laws
Authoritarian states
The democracy is not present they choose their leaders by the population and they are remove when they are violent
Example Removal of the Egipt's president
Monarchy
The royal family they rae ruled by generations of the same blood
Example United Kingdom
Theocracy
ruled by a religion, the power is taken by the religious groups
Example Islamic republic of Iran
What is it?
Is the total control of what happens inside of their state
internal
the states that have total independency on their states and have full responsibility for it.
Example they can decide their own policies
It is the ability of the state to rule by itsself
External
The state has control over itself but they have interactions with other states
Example United Nations

Sovereignty must have
Defined territory: identify the borders between states or government
Effective government: Identify the power on the authority of the government
Permanent population: identify where people has a permanent home
relations with other states: identify the diplomatic relationships between states through summits
