Impact
Light
The lighting is mostly objective and in the few instances of theatrical lighting, it's mostly done to focus on dramatic or serious moments, such as when they are talking about their father. This use of lighting makes the audience much more focused on the characters and it tells them about how they are feeling, when they are sad or happy, creating a tangible emotional resonance with the story.
Sound
The sound provided quite a large portion of context to the audience through usage of sound effects such as train noises, immersing the audience in the setting of the play. Further, sound also guided the tone of the play by provoking emotion with specified music, such as slow and orchestral music, provoking suspense.
Staging
The stage is a parallel traverse, audiences on both sides this staging is meant to look like a train station which puts the audience in the perspective of the characters since they spend a lot of time in and around the station. It also creates a fantastical feel to the play considering how the set pieces interact with each other.
Costume
The costume also played a large role in delivering information to the audience. The outfits followed a certain fashion style of the 1900's, also showing that they were not very rich. This helped the audience understand the plot with more clarity.
