Management Principles
Directing implies commanding, influencing and motivating subordinates with the intention that they carry out their assignments (granted when organizing) and that together the achievement of the organization's goals is achieved.
Principles help to carry out a better Management process:
Principle of impersonality of command:
authority (legal form of power) to which subordinates are bound according to a rule or a precept. Authority remains with the position and its new occupant.
Principle of delegation:
specific management technique. The delegation process includes assignment of tasks, delegation of authority and demand of responsibility to carry them out.
Principles of unity of command and breadth of command
Principles of unity of command: a subordinate should have only one superior to whom he is directly responsible
Principle of breadth of command: It refers to the number of people that a boss can supervise and to whom he can delegate his authority.
Principle of coordination of interests:
It is a process that consists of integrating the activities of independent departments in order to pursue the goals of the organization effectively and efficiently.
