Climate Change IMG_3108 - Coggle Diagram
Climate Change
Causes:
Urbanization: More houses and technology are being created causing more land to be damaged and more areas to be rebuilt.
-
Natural Sources: Things like volcanoes erupting, hurricanes, forest fires and other natural disasters cause many gases to be emitted into an area they shouldn't be.
-
Deforestation: Trees absorb CO2, so when trees are cut there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere
-
-
Environmental Impacts:
-
-
Weather: Due to temperature increase, there will be an increase in droughts and heat waves
Animals: Survival of the fittest will cause animal diversity to decrease because animals who can't adapt to new conditions will die off
-
Oceans: As temperature increases sea levels will rise and the arctic will eventually become ice free
-
Economic Impacts:
Infrastructure: Due to weather changes many places are at risk of flooding and being completely destroyed by weather.
-

-
-
Solutions:
Living Near Work: By living closer to where you work you won't have tot travel as far causing less greenhouse gas to be released
-
Go Vegetarian: By eating less animal products less greenhouse gas will be produced from animals making the environment cleaner
-
-
Renewable Resources: By using more renewable energy sources we can help to cut out pollution caused by fuel
This would include using solar panels, wind mills, ect...
-
Evidence:
Ocean Acidification: Since the industrial revolution the acidity of the surface ocean waters have increased about 30%
-
-
Warming Oceans: The ocean has absorbed the most heat within the top 100 meters increasing in 0.6 degrees F since 1969
-
Global Temperature Rising: The average surface temperature has increased about 2.12 degrees F since the late 19th century
