Pathophysiology

It can cause changes in the patient's behavior, movements, feelings or consciousness
Having two or more seizures at least 24 hours apart that aren't brought on by an identifiable cause can be considered as epilepsy
Signs and Symptoms
"This bright and healthy little girl developed a strange new behavior at 11 months of age. Several times a day, her parents watched with concern as she sat motionless on the floor, stared intently at certain repetitive visual patterns on the carpet, and appeared dazed and confused for a few minutes with tears in her eyes"
Temporary confusion, staring spell, uncontrollable jerking movements, loss of consciousness, and emotional symptoms such as fear, anxiety or deja vu
