First and second condiction
Sencond conditional
Simple past
Used to express past action completed, equivalent to the "passado simples" in portuguese.
Time expressions:
yesterday (ontem), the day before yesterday (anteontem), last night (ontem à noite), last year (ano passado), last month (mês passado), last week (semana passada), ago (atrás)...
Negative form
Add did and not.
"She didn't like the English teacher."
Subject + did + not + main verb+ complement.
Interrogative form
Use did and change the extruture.
"Did she like the English teacher?"
Did + subject+ main verb + complement.
Affirmative form
Add d, ed or ied, except irregular verbs.
" She liked the English teacher."
Subject + verb + complement.

Sencond conditional are clause that express something impossible or unlikely.
"If I had lots of money, I could travel round the world"
.
Formation:
If clause is formed by simple past and main clause by the some modal verbs.
If+simple past+would, could,might,should+infinitive.
If clause+main clause:
If I had a million dollars, I would buy a new house.
Main clause+if clause:
I would buy a new house if I had million dollars.
Modal verbs
Auxiliary verbs. "Can, could, should, would..."
used to complement or change the meaning of the main verbs in the sentences.
First conditional
Simple present
Indicates actions in present, equivalent to the "presente do indicativo" in portuguese. Used too to express universal trues, feelings, wishings, opinions and preferences.
"He plays soccer very well."
Negative form:
I, you, we and they add do not or don't and he, she and it add does not or doesn't.
"You don't arrive late."
"Subject + auxiliary verb + not + main verb + complement"
Interrogative Form:
uses it self in the same way as the other, but changes the structure.
"Does she fix her car by herself?"
"Auxiliary verb + subject + main verb + complement"
Affirmative form
: I, you, we and they used infinitive and he, she, it add s, es ou ies.
"She watches TV every day."
"Subject+main verb+complement"
First condional are if clauses that indicates a possible future action.
"If you buy one of this carpets now, I can get a good price for you"
.
Formation:
The if clause is formed by simple present and the main clause by simple future.
If+simple past+simple future+infinitive
If clause + main clause:
If you want, I'll ask.
Main clause + if clause:
I'll ask if you want.
Simple future
Used to express future actions, equivalet to the "Futuro do Presente do Modo Indicativo" in portuguese.
"We will go out tonight."
Negative form
Add not.
"I will not visit my cousin tomorrow."
Sujeito + will + not + verbo principal no infinitivo sem o to + complemento
Iterrogative form
Change the estruture.
"Will they buy a new house?"
Will + subject + main verb in infinitive without the to + complement
Affirmative form
Add will.
"We will go out tonight."
Subject + will + main verb in infinitive without to + complement
