Manage anxiety in order to participate in role as a mother

Amanda to trial using any adjustments (environment, equipment, etc.) to make a meal
Perhaps first meal could be with preprepared vegetables, or a simple meal (e.g., pre-sliced carrots, pasta, sandwiches etc.)
Amanda will plan a meal with therapist
Assess equipment needs, e.g., perching stool, food processor, etc.
Assess environment
Meet with Amanda at home, discuss meal.
Choose a good time when Amanda is not tired

Amanda will learn fatigue management in order to have energy to do this
Amanda will find out about 'Spoon Theory' and the 4 spoons.
Amanda will keep a journal when she is most tired, and when she is busiest (e.g., weekend). Amanda will tell therapist how she feels during cooking. Therapist to evaluate using outcome measure.
If sleep quality is related to fatigue when cooking, Amanda could learn sleep hygiene
Amanda will do meal preparation in chunks with rest periods in between, e.g., prepare vegetables earlier in the day, etc.
Amanda will prepare a simple meal for one or two people.
Amanda could use prepared vegetables, or other methods of simplifying cooking
Prepare simple meal for the family, incorporating fatigue management techniques, and feels that she can cope and she enjoys this!
Amanda will tell therapist how feels in order for therapist to evaluate her experience. Therapist will use outcome measure.
Amanda would like to make the school run
Find a way to grade this activity with Amanda
Support family with Amanda's illness
Signposting family for available support and benefits as carers
Have meeting with Amanda's family to discuss their experience/needs as carers
Check in with family and find out how they are getting on and if further support needed
