So a social situation
would trigger certain assumptions (rules/beliefs e.g., i should always be intelligent, i should always give off a good impression),
this then leads to them perceiving there to be danger (negative thoughts - i'm going to blush, i'm going to sweat, i'm going to say something wrong),
which then leads to seeing the self as an object (pay attention to how they're behaving),
which then affects somatic (they acc blush/sweat) and cognitive (they catastrophise their physiological changes e.g., that they're blushing loads and everyone notices) symptoms,
also leads to safety behaviours to avoid receiving negative feedback/rejection.
