An ongoing action occured in the Past
EXAMPLE: I was swimming in the lake.
She was finishing her homework last night.
They were making a birthday cake last week.
My parents were cooking yesterday in the kitchen.
PRESENT
PROGRESSIVE
An ongoing action ocurring right now
Sofia is playing with her phone.
You are breaking the ruler with that movement.
Why are you stopping my music?
I am eating a chocolate ice cram in the park with my dog.
FUTURE PROGRESSIVE
An ongoing action will occur in the future.
They will be running in a competition in Las Vegas.
We will be passing in front of your house tomorrow.
I will be making my homework tomorrow at 6 pm.
He will be making a cake next week in the competition.
