Problem: Teen pregnancy

Statistics
An average of 18 000 teenage girls in Malaysia get pregnant each year, 25%, about 4500 cases involved out-of-wedlock pregnancy. (Bernama, 27 Oct 27)
Causes

According to National Anti-Drugs Agency, the cases detected by both newly drug addict and former drug addict was the highest in 2016(30844) and the lowest was in 2014(21777).
Causes
Family issues like negative parental, fight and quarrel between parent. (Drug and Alcohol Dependence, 1996)
Peer influence such as having friends involved in drug that knewwhere to obtain the drug.
History
In pre-independence, the main drug abuse was opium which was initially consumed by immigrants from China who were introduced by British colonialist to work in Malaysia.
The post-independence era began in 1960s when young adults were influenced by the "Hippy" subculture. Consumption pattern changed where more Malays were involved in drug abuse compared to other ethnic groups. (JUMMEC, 2008)

Solutions
Public awareness about the harmful consequences of drug abuse.
Compulsory courses to student to differentiate well and bad behavior and the negative consequences of substance abuse.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), Malaysian per capita alcohol consumption rises from 0.8 liters of pure alcohol in years 2003-2005 to 1.3 liters of pure alcohol in the years 2008-2010.
Causes
Peer group infuence and wanting to try new things and it is can be cause by personal or family problems.
Easy availability of alcoholic beverages and it is also affordable.
History
