Metamorphic Rock
Sediments
Rock, sand, or dirt that has been carried away to a place by water, wind or a glacier.
Sedimentary rock is naturally formed in the Earth’s crust. It is formed when sediment deposits form layers, compact, and then cement together, creating a new rock. Sedimentary rocks are used for building materials, and sometimes they even contain fossils.
Igneous Rock
Igneous rock forms from melted rock (magma). Magma exists inside the earth’s surface, and it becomes lava when it is released through a volcanic eruption. When it cools, that is when it becomes igneous rock.

Sedimentary rocks
Metamorphic rocks are rocks that have been changed either in texture or in mineral composition by the influence of heat, pressure, stress (directed pressure), chemically active solutions or gasses or some other agent without the rock passing through a liquid phase. Any rock type (sedimentary, igneous or other metamorphic) can be subjected any one or any combination of the referenced agents.

Igneous rocks:
The igneous form of rocks does not include any fossil deposits. ...
Most of the igneous forms include more than one mineral deposit.
They can be either glassy or coarse.
These usually do not react with acids.

Adesite: Used in the construction of sculptures and monuments.
Basalt: Basalt is used in construction
Sedimentary Rocks
Bedding. Bedding is often the most obvious feature of a sedimentary rock and consists of lines called bedding planes, which mark the boundaries of different layers of sediment.
Graded beds are common when a sediment is being deposited by a slow‐moving current.
Fossils.
Desiccation cracks and ripple marks.

Uses
Sandstone: is used in the building of homes and outdoor structures

Metamorphic Rocks
Characteristics
They are in constant change
Their process of formation is very difficult to see.
Examples
Marble
Quartzite
Uses
Marble is most commonly used for flooring.
Quartzite is a decorative stone and may be used to cover walls
