MECHANISM OF ACTION
Activates the cAMP signaling pathway in target cells
Acts as an agonist at the PTH1 receptor
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Keep your tymlos pen at room temperature at 2 degrees C
It can be kept at home
Keep unused pens at cold temperature
Should not be refrigerated after first use
SIDE EFFECTS
Dizziness and orthostatic hypotension
Headache
Osteosarcoma
Fatigue
Changes in the heart rate
Vertigo
Allergic reaction
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Administer as subcutaneous periumbilical region of abdomen
Dose is 80 mcg subcutaneously once daily
Administer where the patient can sit or lie down
INDICATIONS
Treats osteoporosis in postmenopausal women
Decrease a chance of having spine fracture
