Form
Refers to specific grammatical parts that make up the structure and the order they occur in.
Prefixes
A group of letters added at the beginning of a word.
Grammar rules
Describe the way that language works, but language changes over time, so they are not fixed.
Lexis
It's individual words, sets of words or expression that have a specific meaning.
Phonology
Is the study of the sound features used in a language to communicate meaning.
Dipthongs
are a combination of two vowel sound

Part of a word which we say with greater energy
Phoneme
Is the smallest unit of sound that has meaning in a language.
The phonemes of a language can be represented by phonemic symbol.

is a set of phonemic symbols which show how words are pronounced

is when a sentence and incomplete sentences are pronounced

is the level of formality that suits a situation
Levels of formality
Formal, neutral, informal.
Reading
It's a receptive skill, refered to understand the language of the text at word level, sentence level and whole text level.
Subskill
Scanning, skimming, reading for detail, extensive reading, intensive reading.
Writing
It's a productive skill, involves communicating a message in written form.
Stages
- Brainstorming, making notes, planning (organization of ideas), writing a draft, editing, producing another draft, proof reading.
Listening
Is a receptive skill, involves making sense of the meaningful sounds of language.
Subskills
- Listen for gist, specific information, detail, attitude, extensive listening.
Speaking
It's a productive skill, involves using speech to express meanings to other people.
Assessment
It's a tool to measure a development and learning of students, can be in qualitative or quantitative way.
Grammar
The whole system and structure of a language or of languages in general, usually taken as consisting of syntax and morphology (including inflections) and sometimes also phonology and semantics, always rounded by a context and it's specific use.
Generalization
A written or spoken statement in which you say or write that something is true all of the time when it is only true some of the time
