Manors
Meadow
A non woody are usually with animals roaming and a pasture and a hayfield.
River
The river was used for food and water for the crops it was used for a bath for serfs.
Well
The well is used to get water for the lord's manor and for everyone living in the manor. It was the only place to get clean water.
Forest
The trees provided shelter for the people. It was a wide range of area where animals could live and it was great for hunting. It provided wood for houses and cooking
Orchard
Orchards provide food from trees. Most of the trees gave the people in the manor fruit.
Church
The church was where people would worship together. There was a Pope, Archbishop, Bishop, Priests.
Sacraments were administered by the priests, there were Baptism, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Confession, Last RItes
MIll
The mill turned wind or water power into cost-effective energy for grinding, flour,tanning leather,processing cloth and other things.
Serfs Cottages
The roofs were thatched and the floors were made from shrubs and bushes.The whole family slept in a crowded room. Very small windows.
Manor House
This is where the lord lived. The houses were not castles but they were in walls with a moat. The primary feature of the house is its great hall.
Blacksmith
The place the blacksmith worked was called a smithy or a forge. They used heated iron and metal to make tools and make horseshoes.
Ovens
The ovens were fireplaces with giant cauldrons. It was used for bread.
Fields
All the food was in the field. More than on field in a manor.
The most important crop is wheat. Serfs had to keep their crops in good conditions to be able to survive. Serfs had to give part of grain as tax.
