the Kindertransport mission unfolded between November 1939 and September 1939, when World War Two broke out
at the time, yhe Nazis making life unbearable for Jewish people

some of the older children who had been rescued went to live in hostels. Meanwhile youger children were sent to live whit foster families

it became known as Kristallnacht, because there was lots of smashed glass all over the streets from shopps that were raaided
but after Kristallnacht, the Britisch government agreed that some Jewish children undere the age of 17 could temporarily come to Britan to safety
the governament did not pay for the children, Each child had to have a sponsor to do this
there is a statue at Liverpool Street Station in London, where the young refugees arrived 80 years ago
