Plot
The documentary/movie is about an investigation made on a serial killer (Edward Carver, aka: Water Street Butcher) situated in Poughkeepsie, New York. They explain and show real footage of some of the hundreds of tapes from the serial killer's work.
Conflict
The main conflict starts when the serial killer (Edward Carver) breaks into Cheryl Dempsey's house and brutally murders her boyfriend and kidnaps her. Edward then makes Cheryl his personal slave, he makes her watch all the crimes he commits and eventually makes her commit one for him.
Setting
Suspense, mystery, horrifying and psychologically disturbing for some people.

Time
I would say the time taken is about 5 months or even more until Cheryl is found and the killer is convicted to death row.
Development Characters
A flat character can be Cheryl, she doesn't really ever change, she is always innocent and obedient to Edward.
A round character is Edward, he constantly changes emotions, it's almost like he is bipolar, having two different killers on the run.
