cells

what is a cell?

A cell is the smallest structural and functional unit of living things. They grow and develop, they reproduce, use energy, and respond.

prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells

differences

Prokaryotic Cell has no nucleus present but the eukaryotic one does

In a prokaryotic cell DNA is stored in a nucleoid but in a eukaryotic one DNA is stored in chromosomes.

Similarities

A prokaryotic cell is a type of cell that does not have a true nucleus or membrane-bound organelles. However, most organisms on earth are the ones with prokaryotic cells and they are found in bacteria and archaea.

An eukaryotic cell contains membrane-bound organelles such as a nucleus, mitochondria, and an endoplasmic reticulum. Organisms based on the eukaryotic cell include protozoa, fungi, plants, and animals.

They both reproduce (prokaryotic through Binary fission and Eukaryotic through Mitosis).

vegetal and animal cells

similarities

diferences

Plant cells have a cell wall, that is used to make the cell stronger, additional protection, while animal cells do not

Plant cells also have chloroplasts, they make glucose and contain chlorophyl, this helps to make the process of photosynthesis and they also have a green pigment, they reflect green light

Plant cells have a big vacuole, called central vacuole, this one is permanent

Animal cells have smaller but more vacuoles

Ribosomes

Mitochondria

Cell Membrane

Cytoplasm

Nucleus

They both have ribosomes present

They both have plasma cell membrane present.
